Q: How do I change my domain's WHOIS information? You can change your whois information via the control panel providing the domain name was registered through Glide Hosting (DotRegistrar.com). If your domain name was registered through a different registrar and set to point to Glide Hosting's DNS servers, the WHOIS information must be changed via the domain's registrar. To change your domain's WHOIS information, click Manage under Domain Control. Next, verify your contact information is correct in the Contact Profiles menu. In this menu, you can edit your default information or create new profiles for use with any of your domains*. Finally, from the Domain Management menu, proceed to Domain Contacts. Select the profiles you wish to use with this domain then click Save Changes. Your changes will be posted to the registrar**. * NOTE: Changing profile information will update the WHOIS records for any domain names currently using those profiles; clicking Update may result in a delay of up to a few minutes while the system posts the changes to the registrar. If you wish to change the information for only one domain name, create a new profile for use with that domain rather than updating an existing profile. ** NOTE: WHOIS changes may not take effect immediately. Be sure to verify the changes take effect within a reasonable amount of time. Q: How do I renew my domain name? Q: How do I transfer my domain name to Glide Hosting? Q: What are Domain Name Servers (DNS)?
